THE STATE PARK:
Governor Dodge State Park is located at 4175 Highway 23 N., Dodgeville, Wisconsin 53533, 3 miles North of Dodgeville in Southern Wisconsin.
With over 5000 acres, Governor Dodge is one of the state's largest state parks. You will see driftless area bluffs, hilltops, plants, rock outcroppings, valley views, a waterfalls, wildlife and Cox Hollow Lake. You can do bicycling, boating, camping, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, hunting, picnicking, skiing, sledding, snowmobiling and swimming.
From Cameo Rose take Hwy 69 North to US Highway 18 West to Dodgeville. Then go north on State Highway 23 for 3 miles to the park entrance. By bicycle, there's a surfaced access trail from the Military Ridge to the park just east of County Highway Z.
