It is a full time job for Dawn to take care of the house, 5 guestrooms and suite, breakfasts and the gardens while Gary takes care of 120 acres, 32,000 trees and about 180 breakfast dishes in a morning.

Dawn gave up business administration and wanted a bed and breakfast in Wisconsin between Albany, Belleville, Cambridge, Fitchburg, New Glarus, Oregon, Madison, Middleton, Monroe, Mount Horeb and Verona. Gary retired from banking and wanted a small cabin in the woods on their farm. Cameo Rose is "their" compromise. Cameo Rose: Madison's Victorian Country Inn opened in 1991. Note: Dawn dreamed of operating a B and B for many years. Gary use to sit at the bank and real estate office and dream of retiring early to clean house all day. Dawn has made it possible for Gary's dream to come true. In graditude, Gary wrote a song to honor Dawn’s 15th year (2006) as a hard working innkeeper. You may sing it to the tune of Johnny Cash’s ‘I Walk the Line’. (Sub Note: After seeing the movie 'I Walk The Line" Dawn bought the music and played it 24/7 until Gary started thinking to the tune and talking in tune - thus the song).
