  NEW GLARUS WI AND AREA ATTRACTIONS SUGAR RIVER TRAIL B AND B LODGING SUGAR RIVER BIKE TRAIL - NEW GLARUS WI TO BRODHEAD The Sugar River State Bike Trail is a 23-mile A National Scenic and Recreational Trail that runs from New Glarus (America’s Little Switzerland) to Monticello, Albany and to Brodhead, WI. Visit the Sugar River Trail from Cameo Rose – a Madison WI area B and B between New Glarus and Madison. The limestone surface is suitable for bicycling, walking and snowmobiling. Along the way is a replica covered bridge, agricultural landscape, prairie remnants, colorful prairie wildflowers and grasses, rock outcroppings, lowland cattails and reeds, wetlands, woods of oaks, hickory, walnut, and cherry. You could see beaver, 100 species of birds, bobcat, chipmunk, coyote, deer, fox, gray and ground squirrels, otter, mink, rabbit, salamanders, skunk, snakes, turtles and woodchuck along the trail as well.
